The program offers opportunities for you to expand your intellectual and cultural horizons through small seminar-style classes and culturally enriching field trips. Basic eligibility requirements include: you must be a current freshman and have a 3.5 gpa.

HU alumna to speak on “Teaching Science in Missions”

On Friday, Oct 6 at 4 pm in Hiner Hall, 2006 HU alumna Emily Padilla will be speaking on “Teaching Science in Missions.” As a HU graduate with a degree in biology, Emily has been serving in Zambia, Africa since early 2013 with her main role being a science teacher in a tutoring program for secondary students. She works through New Life Center, a ministry of the United Methodist Church. Elective chapel credit will be given for attending the entire presentation.

The following students have achieved the highest academic honor on campus of being elected to the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society, and will each be introduced in an Induction Ceremony at 11:11 am on Friday, Sept. 22, in the Longaker Recital Hall of the Merillat Centre for the Arts. The ceremony will end by 11:50, and elective chapel credit will be given for attending.
