The Great HU Coffee Swap

February 20, 2017 Campus Ministries Comments Off on The Great HU Coffee Swap

How much coffee do you consume a week? Do you buy more than two cups a week? On average, yeah, you probably do, right? Go without it for one week. That’s our challenge to you. Go without buying your coffee for one week and instead, donate that money to a good cause. Think of the difference we could make as a campus if — for just one week — we each donate $5 (our coffee money) to Reason to Dance, Reason to Hope, a ballroom dance benefit for Riley Children’s Hospital.

Need extra incentive? Chartwells has agreed to partner with Campus Ministries and will match any donations (up to $500)! AND as if that isn’t enough, how about this: Bring your $5 to chapel on February 21 and you will be entered to win one of four $25 gift cards.

Wondering what Reason to Dance, Reason to Hope has to do with Huntington University? Glad you asked! Terra Brantley, an Emmy-nominated and award-winning news anchor located in Fort Wayne, is competing in the competition and she is speaking on chapel on April 4.

Whether you care about the dance competition or Terra Brantley doesn’t matter nearly as much as the lives your $5 could touch. Riley Children’s Hospital impacts thousands of lives each year. Gifts from donors make a dramatic difference in the level of care and comfort Riley Hospital is able to provide children. And for the cost of just two cups of coffee, you can be part of that dramatic difference.
