HU CO-ED Intramural Volleyball

Sign your team up before September 22 by emailing rlawson@huntington.edu

  • be sure to designate a captain
  • maximum roster size of 10 players ( no current varsity players/team)
  • you certainly do NOT have to have playing experience to play
  • 6v6 in the fieldhouse
  • Matches are best of three, with rally scoring to 21

Opening night is Sunday, Sept. 24; games run on Sunday nights starting at 7pm

Post season tournament will be held on October 22nd

Hello HU Students and Welcome back from a wonderful break! It’s that time once again to invite you to be a part of the HU Gospel Choir here at the University. If you have ever wanted to sing gospel music or be in a gospel choir, now is your chance. Come and be a part of a group that loves to sing and worship God in Spirit and in Truth and have fun while doing it. All you have to do is come on to our first rehearsal of the new semester and the New School Year. We would love to have you!!! Hope to see you there! God Bless You!!!

Student Teaching Orientation Registration Meeting:

If you plan to student teach next academic year (fall 2018 or spring 2019), you must attend the student teacher orientation meeting on Wednesday, September 20, in the upstairs banquet room (C) of the dining commons. Two sessions will be offered – session 1 at 11:30 a.m./ session 2 at 12:15 p.m. Please attend the session that works for your schedule and feel free to bring your lunch upstairs. This is only for those students who have been admitted to the Teacher Education Program with junior or senior status.

April 14

Technology Device for Education Students:

All incoming freshmen will be required to have an iPad device by the time they begin their Junior Block courses. For all current sophomores and juniors, we also highly recommend you make this a priority purchase. iPads will be used extensively, not only in the ED 377 Integration of Technology in the Classroom course, but in the other junior methods courses as well. Adam Skiles, Director of Information and Technology Services, has provided the following link where students can purchase the iPads that include our educational discount.

The Conscientious Projector team is hosting a free Double Feature movie night this Friday, September 15 in the screening room in Becker Hall, room 301! A french animated film “The Triplets of Belleview” and Woody Allen’s film “Everyone Says I Love You” will be screened back-to-back. Also, there will be a costume contest for the best old person costume! Everyone is welcome- so tell your friends and join us! It’s a great chance to experience some awesome movies you may not normally come across!

Between Earth and Sky Art Exhibition

The “Between Earth and Sky” art exhibition is open for your enjoyment in the Robert E. Wilson Gallery located in the Merillat Centre for the Arts. “Between Earth and Sky” is a sculpture mixed media exhibition of recent works by Merrill Krabill. The exhibition will be open until October 12th. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. The Department of Art + Design invites you all to the artist reception, which will be on Friday, September 22nd from 6-7:30pm, for a gallery talk with Merrill Krabill.
