Calling all students interested in missions! Global Vision will be meeting today in the Forester Room in the Lower D.C. from 12-1. Andelyn Robb will be speaking about the work Chariots for Hope does in Kenya, Africa with orphaned and vulnerable children. Come out to hear more about what God is doing around our world (and to hear about possible INTERNSHIPS)! As always, feel free to bring your lunch to the meeting.

Mike Mullin, author of the popular Ashfall YA book series, will host a writing workshop at the Huntington Library Thursday, November 2 at 6 p.m. Anyone interested in joining NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month, can come learn writing and storytelling tips and tricks from a successful author through a variety of hands-on activities. The workshop is free.

Free Spooky Film Screening Double Feature!

Join us this Friday, October 27 at 7 pm in the Becker 3rd Floor Screening Room (305) for a free double-feature screening of the animated short series “Extraordinary Tales” and Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller, “Psycho.”

Directed by Raul Garcia and featuring the voices of Christopher Lee, Bela Lugosi, Roger Corman, Guillermo del Toro and more, “Extraordinary Tales” is an animated anthology of 5 stories adapted from Edgar Allan Poe, each highlighting a unique animation style. Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film “Psycho” follows a Phoenix secretary who embezzles $40,000 from her employer’s client, goes on the run, and checks into a remote motel run by a young man under the domination of his mother. There will be a costume contest and treats to share!

Free screenings are offered every Friday this semester as part of the Signs and Wonders series, and roughly half will include panel discussions to follow.
