WE READ TRUTH || ACTS of the Apostles Small Group Study

September 25, 2017 Campus Ministries Comments Off on WE READ TRUTH || ACTS of the Apostles Small Group Study Posted By: Layla bb Solms || Campus Ministries

Did you know? Throughout the book of Acts, Israel was under Roman rule, which had been the case since Rome wrested the region from Syria in 64 BC. The Jews were defined by their worship, their temple practices, and their history as followers of one God, and one God only – Jehovah. Rome knew that devotion like this was hard to extinguish. Is your devotion to Christ extinguishable? You have until 4:30 Wednesday to sign up for a small group study. I invite you to consider the Acts study. We’ll meet Fridays at 11 beginning October 6. Sign up sheets/request sheets are in the Campus Ministries office & Student Services office. Stop by today to reserve your spot.

Jesus said, “Follow Me.” Many of us have tried, but hit obstacles that slowed us down, or even stopped us dead in our tracks. Would you like to go deeper in your relationship with Jesus and get help to overcome the obstacles that have stopped you in the past? Would you like to do that in a community with others? We will meet every other Tuesday for 6 sessions that include sharing a meal together, hearing teaching on discipleship, and participating in small groups that help us experience transformation in Christ. Please join us!

SHE READS TRUTH || ACTS SCRIPTURE STUDY

September 22, 2017 Campus Ministries Comments Off on SHE READS TRUTH || ACTS SCRIPTURE STUDY Posted By: Layla bb Solms || Campus Ministries

The study is from @SheReadsTruth, but it’s for all of us! Guys & Girls. Men & Women. Join us on Fridays at 11 (beginning Oct. 6) as we learn about the birth of the early church, where we came from, and where we’re going. It’s the story of how we are called to reach out, and how we are called to come together. As we read from God’s Word in Acts of the Apostles, we’ll ask the Holy Spirit to guide us, illuminating the words He has already inspired. He is faithful to meet us there, and faithful to give us courage to share. This group is open to all HU students.

SURVEY FOR CORE CHAPEL CREDIT

September 21, 2017 Campus Ministries Comments Off on SURVEY FOR CORE CHAPEL CREDIT Posted By: Layla bb Solms || Campus Ministries

Dear HU Students:

At Huntington University we are committed to helping each of our students grow in Christian spiritual vitality. Students are the best source for helping us to assess how we’re doing. I am writing to ask for your help in better understanding how you feel about Huntington University as a place to grow closer to God, closer to others, and to put your faith into action.

On Monday, September 25, you will receive a survey invitation by email from Mission Insights. We have asked Mission Insights to help us collect information from each of our students. Your responses will help us improve the programs and services that we provide to all of our students. The survey questionnaire takes approximately 30 minutes to complete, on average. We recognize that this is a significant investment of your time, so we’d like to thank you by providing ONE CORE CHAPEL CREDIT in return for completing the survey.

I would really appreciate your taking a few minutes on a computer to complete the survey, when it arrives in your email inbox. This survey is confidential, and your participation is voluntary. This project has been reviewed and approved by the Huntington University Institutional Review Board. If you have questions about your rights as a participant, please contact my office directly.

Thank you in advance for participating in this important survey. Only you can provide your own perspective, and that’s exactly what we need.
