COVID Protocols and Class Attendance

Please note that virtual instruction is reserved for students awaiting COVID test results or students who have entered a COVID-related quarantine or isolation. If your class is meeting face-to-face, you cannot simply opt for virtual (Zoom) instruction for personal convenience or for non-COVID-related reasons.

If you feel ill with COVID-related symptoms (i.e. – congestion, headache, fever, nausea, loss of sense of taste/smell, etc.), you should inform your instructors and not attend class that day. You should immediately contact COVID19@huntington.edu with information about your symptoms, and you will be given guidance and instructions for interacting with a physician through Forester Care, being tested for COVID, and setting up meal delivery (if needed).

Students who test positive for COVID or students who are asked to isolate/quarantine will receive detailed instructions from either Dr. Brian Jaworski or Dr. Russ Degitz, and it will include the date you may return to class. Dr. Luke Fetters will notify your faculty if you are directed to isolate/quarantine, and that message will also notify them of the return date.

Face-to-face classes will be held through November 24. Classes will resume virtually after the Thanksgiving Break on Monday, November 30, and final exams are scheduled December 14-17. J-Term classes begin virtually on January 4. Spring semester classes begin January 25 face-to-face.
