CROSS COUNTRY

HU sophomore Emma Wilson wrapped up the fall with her fifth Crossroads League Runner of the Week designation as announced by the league earlier this afternoon.

Wilson’s domination was on display again this past weekend at the Crossroads League Championships where she ran away from the competition to claim the individual title in 16:40. Her time not only set a new course record, which she established a few weeks back, but a new meet record as well.

Friday’s time also proved the second fastest collegiate 5K time across all divisions this fall. Wilson also boasts the fastest time from earlier this season when she ran a 16:24 at the NAIA Seminole Valley Stampede on October 10.

It’s the second straight year a Forester has been deemed the CL champion with Hannah Stoffel bringing home the crown last fall.

The Crossroads League Championships capped off the fall season. The NAIA National Championships have been pushed back to April 9.
