A Note of Encouragement

As we move into the last week of classes before finals, don’t forget to make time to spend with God. Perhaps it will be the first thing you do when you wake up, or when you finally lay your head on your pillow at night. Maybe it’s during your afternoon downtime after a particularly stressful class. No matter when or where, God will meet you there; He is already waiting for you.

It’s hard not to let our anxieties get the best of us in times of stress. If we let them, they will overwhelm us. Tonight, if you find yourself laying awake with racing thoughts, I encourage you to to close your eyes and pray about the first thing or person that pops into your mind…then the next, and the next, and so on. Cast your anxieties, your desires, your prayers for anything and everything on Him. Praying yourself to sleep can be one of the most peaceful and restorative things you can do. God cares for you, and wants to hear you, too.
