Financial Aid Reminders

Happy Friday, Foresters!

As you prepare for your final week of J-Term (or break), the Office of Financial Aid wants to remind you about a few items:

  1. If you have not filed your FAFSA for 21/22, now is the time to do it! If you are from Indiana, the deadline is April 15 (but it is a great idea to file now, especially since there will not be a spring break this year).
  2. Outside scholarship searches and applications are now open! Make sure that you reapply for any scholarships that you received in previous years and double check your community foundation’s website to see if there are any outside scholarship resources for you for 21/22! The best way to find your community foundation is to Google your county, your state, and “community foundation.”
  3. If you are planning to get married in spring or summer of 2021, you may be able to make updates to your FAFSA to reflect your updated marital status. Please contact us if this is your situation to discuss whether a FAFSA update is a possibility in your situation. You can reach us by emailing finaid@huntington.edu.
