Spring 2021 Live Chapel Details

The Center for Spiritual Formation & Intercultural Enrichment is excited to inform you of our plan to return to live chapels beginning Tuesday, January 26. Chapels will be livestreamed for everyone, but we are also able to offer limited seating for students who want to attend chapel in person!

It’s undeniable that COVID-19 has presented its share of challenges to our corporate worship experience. But because of your diligence to protect the health of the members within our community and the gradual gains that the county and state continue to make against the pandemic, we feel confident that we’re able to provide a safe and quality in-person chapel experience while allowing for physical distancing. As you consider joining us for chapel, here are some important pieces of information to understand:

  • The current capacity for live chapels in Zurcher auditorium is 133 people
  • To attend a chapel in person, you must reserve a spot through the iAttended app; you can make reservations as early as a week in advance unless otherwise specified in the Coffey Break
  • If you physically attend chapel, you must wear a face mask at all times and sit in a designated seat (marked by green tape)
  • All students attending in person will have their temperature checked at the door
  • Livestreams of chapels through the iAttended app will be provided for students who don’t physically attend
  • All students must physically attend or stream Tuesday and Thursday chapels live (at 11:00 a.m.) to receive credit: As the gradual transition from virtual to partially attended in person to fully attended in person takes place, students will no longer have a week to view Tuesday and Thursday chapels for credit
  • Staff and faculty are welcome to join us virtually through the YouTube link that will be provided
  • A virtual Word Up Wednesday devotion will continue to be available for students to watch and earn credit for throughout the semester; students will have one week from the airing of the devotion to watch it and earn credit

We look forward to seeing you in person this upcoming semester. It’s going to be refreshing to once again have the opportunity to join together to worship the Savior and be inspired by His Word!

Sincerely,

Rev. Arthur Wilson
