Chapel 2/2 – Jim Ellis

Jim Ellis is the pastor in residence and adjunct Bible faculty at Huntington University’s Peoria, Arizona, location. Jim hails from New Jersey. He spent seven years in the Coast Guard and 24 years as a Navy chaplain. Upon retirement from the Navy he was a professor at Union University for seven years and a department chair and dean at Arizona Christian University for six years. Jim was the pastor of counseling at Redemption Church in Peoria for three years and is still an active elder. He has trained military chaplains and pastors who serve the military in Vietnam, Ukraine, Bulgaria, and other countries. He has been married for 42 years to Shirley. They have three daughters, two sons-in-law, and a grandson, Griffin.

This Tuesday, he will be sharing his message “New Year Perspective” from Hebrews 12:1-3.
