INDOOR TRACK & FIELD

The Forester indoor track and field program was well-represented in the Crossroads League’s weekly honors. Sophomore Emma Wilson was tabbed the Women’s Track Athlete of the Week while junior Noah Bise earned the Men’s Field Athlete of the Week badge.

Wilson (Greencastle HS, Greencastle, Ind.) collected wins in the 3000 meters and distance medley relay, running the 1600 meter leg, for the Foresters at the IWU Midwest Classic over the weekend. Her time of 9:45.65 in the 3K is tops in the NAIA this season while HU’s DMR time of 12:17.76 also leads the nation.

She currently holds the fastest 1000 meters and mile time in the NAIA as well. This is Wilson’s second CL indoor track weekly designation of the year.

Bise (Edgewood HS, Ellettsville, Ind.) brought home a pair of second-place finishes in long and triple jump from the Midwest Classic. His leap of 7.00 meters in long jump ranks him 11th among his NAIA peers across the nation while his mark of 13.44 meters in triple jump is a new Huntington record.

Next up for the Foresters is the Crossroads League Indoor Championships slated for February 19-20.
