WOMEN’S TENNIS

The Forester women’s tennis team wrapped up its season Saturday morning with a 5-0 loss to #4 Indiana Wesleyan (31-4) on the final day of the Doc Richards Tournament.

It marks the end of senior Lisa Colling’s Forester career and the United Kingdom native saved her best for last. Up against IWU’s 6th-ranked doubles team, she and Morgan Fitzpatrick played the duo tough but came up short.

In singles action at the No. 2 spot, Colling took Aynara Armas to an intense third set tiebreaker for the best match of the day.

“It’s been an amazing four years with Lisa,” said Coach Roger Ferguson. “She has left her mark on our team with her happy, outgoing personality off court and her tough British girl attitude on the court. Lisa will always be a Forester and a great friend.”

The Foresters finish the year with a 5-9 record.
