OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD

For the third time in her collegiate career, HU senior Aspen Dirr has been tabbed the Crossroads League Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office yesterday afternoon.

Dirr dominated the 1500 meters on Saturday at the Indiana Little State Championships. She clocked in with a winning time of 4:39.28 to hit the “B” standard. Her time is the fifth-best in the NAIA this season and proves the third fastest time in school history.

The Hudson native also took second in the 5000 meters in 17:29.02 which automatically secures a spot at NAIA Nationals as an “A” standard.

Dirr and company are back in action this weekend to host the HU Invitational.
