The Crossroads League announced its 2021 softball All-Conference picks and included on the list were Sophia Beachy, Paige Eichelberger, Breanna Hines and Jada Crofoot.

Beachy was one of 18 players to earn First Team praises. The senior centerfielder posted a .370 batting average and finished the season with a team-best 57 hits which included 15 doubles, the sixth most in the league, and a homerun. She knocked in a team-leading 39 runs and scored 28 times. The Kokomo native (Northwestern HS) swiped 18 bases to rank 11th among her league peers in stolen bases.

Eichelberger (Avon HS, Avon, Ind.) was named to the Second Team. It marks her second All-Conference badge. The senior first baseman racked up 44 hits and touched home a team-high 36 times. She drove in 22 runs and led the team in walks with 19.

Joining Eichelberger on the Second Team was freshman Breanna Hines. The rookie leftfielder finished the year with a .360 batting average which included striking out just once on the year. She hammered out 45 hits, ten for extra bases, The Frontier HS product (Brookston, Ind.) scored 22 times and knocked in 16 runs.

For the second time in her Forester career, Crofoot claimed Honorable Mention accolades. She finished 15th in the league in hits with 56 and boasted a .354 batting average. The Goshen native (Northridge HS) collected 24 RBI and tied the program record for being hit by a pitch nine times this season.

Crofoot was also honored as a member of Gold Glove Team for her defense. She finished the year with a .989 fielding percentage as the league’s top first baseman having committed just three miscues. She was credited with 12 double plays and registered 231 putouts.

The Foresters finished the season with an overall record of 25-29.
