Auditions for “Big Fish” and Troupe

Huntington University Theatre Company (HUTC) announces auditions for Big Fish and Troupe! We are looking for actors of all ages, including boys who appear age 7-15 and girls who appear age 7-18.

Auditions are Wednesday, September 8. Troupe performs Saturday, October 2, and Big Fish performs November 18-20. There are three steps you need to complete before auditioning:

You may audition for Big Fish only, Troupe only, or both together. For either audition you should prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song. If you’re auditioning for Big Fish, please also prepare a short (<60 seconds) contemporary dramatic monologue.

HUTC veteran students are hosting mock auditions on Friday, September 3, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The event will feature assistance on what to do when you arrive and are waiting in the hallway, as well as how to enter the room and slate your name/piece. You will also get constructive feedback on your audition material (an accompanist will be present). If you’re interested, sign up for the event here.
