Consider registering for EN224, Stories from the Future. This course will explore classic and contemporary science fiction, including Arthur Clarke’s Childhood’s End (author of 2001: Space Odyssey), Philip K. Dick’s Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep (on which the movie Bladerunner is based), Robert Heinlein’s Stranger in a Strange Land, Orson Scott Card’s Worthing Saga (author of Ender’s Game), Ursula Le Guin’s Left Hand of Darkness, as well as African American sci-fi writers, Octavia Butler’s collection of short stories, Blood Child, and Nnedi Okorafor’s Binti trilogy.
