VOLLEYBALL

Four Foresters were recognized as All-League honorees as announced by the Crossroads League earlier this afternoon.

Senior Lindsay Ingenito (Daleville HS, Yorktown, Ind.) had a standout final season and for her efforts was tabbed Second Team All-League. It’s Ingenito’s second league badge having garnered Honorable Mention accolades as a sophomore.

The 5-9 middle paced the Foresters offensively with 263 kills and a .332 hitting percentage, the 28th best percentage in the NAIA and fourth best in the CL. Over the course of the season, she also recorded 28 blocks and 27 aces. For her career, Ingenito racked up 775 kills and 98.5 blocks.

Sophomore Morgan Robrock (Huntington North HS, Huntington, Ind.) also landed a spot on the Second Team. As Huntington’s floor general, the 6-0 setter filled the stat sheet every night by handing out 1,106 assists to go along with posting 279 digs, 79 kills, 39 aces and 28.5 blocks. Her 8.78 assist-per-set average is the fourth best among her league peers.

Junior Tya Bynum (North Central HS, Indianapolis, Ind.) also caught the eye of the league coaches to earn Honorable Mention All-League praises. The 5-9 middle finished with 244 kills to her name and topped the Foresters in blocks with 57.5 which included 17 solos. Her 0.77 blocks-per-set is the ninth best average in the Crossroads League.

Kortney Grimm Gahanna (Lincoln HS, Columbus, Ohio) wasted little time adjusting to the collegiate game to be named to the All-Freshmen Team. The 6-0 outside hitter collected 186 kills, 266 digs and 20 aces this fall.

Coach Herber and crew finished the year with an overall record of 14-21.
