Spring Semester COVID Reminders

Welcome back for the spring semester, Foresters! As we work together to maintain the safest possible environment, please keep in mind the following COVID-related information items:

  • Masks are currently required in classrooms for both the Huntington, Indiana, and Fort Wayne, Indiana, locations. Masks are also required for chapel in Zurcher Auditorium on the main campus.
  • Testing is available on the Huntington, Indiana, campus from 2:30-3:30 p.m. on weekdays. The clinic location is in the lower level of Wright Hall. Testing is also available in Fort Wayne and Arizona, on an appointment basis. Those at the Fort Wayne location should contact Dr. Joel Vilensky, and those at the Arizona location should contact Director Jeff Berggren.
  • If you are not feeling well, do not report to class and distance from others. Contact covid19@huntington.edu or an HU staff member for guidance regarding next steps.
  • Washing hands, physically distancing, and wearing a mask are good, common sense precautions.
  • The University’s protocols still entail a full 10-day isolation with a positive test result and a 7-day quarantine (with negative test at the end) for a close contact exposure. CDC guidance has been adjusted recently, but state and local health officials still recommend these timelines for college campuses. Individuals who have been vaccinated or tested positive within the last 90 days are exempt from quarantining, if asymptomatic.
  • Visit the COVID-19 Campus Plan link on the huntington.edu webpage for further information.
