Writing Center Tip of the Week

Week 1:

Make an outline!

Students often fail to make a general outline before starting their papers, which can result in an unorganized jumble of information. By creating an outline, you ensure your information flows smoothly and you do not leave out any information.

Find your sources first!

Finding your sources/quotes you intend to use for the paper before starting is a must. It will allow you to construct your argument around your strongest evidence.
