WOMEN’S GOLF
Earlier this week the Huntington women’s golf team finished ninth at the Ackerman-Allen Shootout hosted by Taylor at Purdue’s Ackerman-Allen Course in West Lafayette.
Shortened to just one round because of the less than ideal weather conditions, HU posted a 372 as a team. Abby Sheehan paced Coach Davis’ crew with an 87 to finish 33rd out of 45 golfers. Danielle Tinsley was one stroke back with an 88.
Lauren Slottke turned in a 94 while Lexy Turpchinoff and Katie Springer posted a 103 and 104 respectively.
Marian won the tournament with a 318 followed by Taylor (322), Grace (325), UNOH (326), Bethel (327), Indiana Wesleyan (329), Mount Vernon (332), Saint Francis (339) and HU (372).
The Foresters wrap up the year with the Crossroads League Championships slated for May 2-3 at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel.
