Final Exams & Graduation

Final exams begin Monday, May 9 and end Thursday, May 12. The final exam schedule may be found here (or on the Office of the Registrar’s page of the website). Students who have three or more final exams (at least two of which are comprehensive finals) on the same day may petition to take an exam at a different time. Final exams are to be taken at the scheduled time unless this petition is approved. The petition is available from the Office of the Registrar or from the Office of Academic Affairs. Travel plans are not a basis for petitioning for a change to a final exam. Make sure that your travel plans are based on when you will have completed your exams.

STUDENTS WHO EXPECT TO GRADUATE IN MAY: Students must be present at Commencement exercises for the conferring of the degree unless exempted by an approved petition for absentia (see Academic Catalog page 65). Do not plan trips, weddings, or other festivities that would keep you from sharing the graduation ceremony with your classmates. Commencement will be on Saturday, May 14.

As a reminder, a time-specific ticket is required to attend each ceremony. Anyone without a ticket may not be permitted to enter.
