Kars Places Third in National Vocal Competition

Emily Kars, sophomore choral music education major and theatre minor, tied for third place in the national 2022 Hal Leonard Vocal Competition. Over 1,300 participants competed in eight categories by submitting video auditions of two contrasting pieces. Emily tied for third place in the 18-23 Young Adult category for Musical Theatre with her audition pieces “Two Men in My Life” from Big Fish the Musical, and “No One Else” from Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812.
