Philosophical Theology

Hello, Students:

This note is from Dr. Tedla Woldeyohannes, a philosophy professor, to encourage students to consider adding/taking this course Philosophical Theology (PL333PT) this semester. The following topics will be covered during the semester: The doctrine of the Trinity, necessity (whether God’s existence is necessary), divine simplicity (whether God is simple or complex), goodness, omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence, eternity and providence, incarnation, resurrection, atonement, the problem of evil, revelation and miracles, and heaven and hell. Possible to add to these topics: The nature of time, eternity, and God’s relation to both time and eternity. We will study the most fascinating works done by contemporary Christian philosophers on the topics. We will also trace historical connections of the topics we will cover. I plan on inviting a couple of world-class philosophers to join this class via Zoom to share from their work.

If you really want to deepen and expand your intellectual life, consider adding/taking this course.
