WOMEN’S TENNIS

The HU women’s tennis team spent Wednesday afternoon at Ward Baker Park where they suffered their first loss of the season, a 6-1 decision, to #RV Marian and then found themselves on the wrong end of another 6-1 decision to Bethel. With these losses, HU drops to 3-2 on the year, 2-2 in league play.

The Foresters’ lone win against the Knights came at #1 singles where Lena Kurzweil outlasted Betija Dusele 6-4, 7-6 (7-4). HU got off to a great start against the host Pilots by winning the point in doubles but unfortunately fell short in singles which included losing three three-set thrillers.

While Bethel got the best of the Foresters on this given day, HU has a long-standing dominance over BU of 14-5 that dates back to 2006.

The Foresters head back to Klopfenstein Courts on Saturday to host Spring Arbor and Grace.
