MEN’S GOLF

The HU men’s golf team spent the weekend in South Bend at the Battle at Blackthorn where they finished tenth with a 624 (307-317).

Out of 58 golfers, Quin Edwards posted HU’s top score with a 149 (72-77) for seventh place. Peyton Richmond was next for Dwyer’s crew with a 154 (78-76) good for 26th place. Colby Martin turned in a 159 (77-82) while Trevor Simon fired a 162 (80-82) for 39th and 46th respectively. Brenner Lampton carded a 171 (80-91) to round out Huntington’s scores.

Taylor took home the team title with a 576 followed by Lawrence Tech (589), Holy Cross (603), Davenport (603), Campbellsville (612), Grace (617), Mount Vernon (618), Bethel (620), Spring Arbor (623), HU (624) and Holy Cross B (647).

HU is back at it Monday for the Saint Francis Fall Invitational at Noble Hawk Golf Links in Kendallville.
