SEWING project: Feminine Hygiene Products for Liberia
The feminine hygiene sewing project is part of the Fall Service Day activities this Saturday. This allows your to earn spiritual life credit and Olympiad spirit points. You can sign up for the service day by signing up for “Brook’s Sewing Project” at this link: Fall Service Day.
We will be sewing feminine hygiene products to be sent overseas to Liberia and South Sudan to help enable girls be able to stay in school and graduate. You do NOT need to know how to sew. We can either teach you or have you help with the many other steps that do not involve sewing.
We will be sewing Saturday, October 22 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
We would love to have you join us. We sew at a “sewing barn” that houses about 20 sewing machines located a few miles north of town. If you would like to join, you can sign up at the link above and/or contact Prof. Nancy Richison at nrichison@huntington.edu. for directions. Everyone is welcome.
