59,400 new jobs

The USDA and Purdue University have projected 59,400 new jobs each year between 2020-2025 in the food, agriculture, renewable natural resources, and environment industries. The problem — we can only fill 61% of those jobs with college grads with degrees in those areas. To fill those jobs, we need college grads from allied fields such as biology, engineering, accounting, journalism, etc. Join the Department of Agriculture for an internship and career fair in the banquet rooms of the upper DC tomorrow (Thursday) from 1:00-3:00 p.m. to meet with representatives from nearly 25 companies to learn about what they do and inquire about internships and job opportunities.
