Jamaica Service-Learning Experience Reopened

Last call for any students interested in a unique service-learning experience related to their major. A team of over 20 individuals will be flying together to stay at the CSI Ministries complex in Jamaica. Students can choose to attend as a missions trip or add it to their curriculum to meet the cultural experience requirement. CSI Ministries and the Friesen Center will arrange for each person to experience their major in a unique way. For example, education majors will shadow and work within the school system, and pre-med students will be at a healthcare facility (clinic or hospital setting). All students will come together in the evening for dinner and a special time of community, reflection, and spiritual growth inspiration. Three days in the community in your field of study, a day for exploration and fun, a day of worship with a Jamaican church, and a day to focus on mission. The entire experience will be tailored to help each student grow spiritually, mentally, and in community with each other while impacting others.

Due to lots of requests, the Friesen Center has opened the registration up for one last time. All those interested must contact Anita Watson this week (awatson@huntington.edu) and complete this application: Friesen Center Mission Trip Application
