Indiana’s State Botanist to Speak on Campus
This Friday (February 17) Scott Namestnik, Indiana’s state botanist, will be on campus to provide a Smith Lecture in honor of the late Fred Sherlock and the recent donation of his personal herbarium collection to HU. The lecture will be at 4:00 p.m. in Hiner Hall and is open to the general public. The title of his talk is “The Value of Biological Collections and Citizen Science.”
Scott is a good presenter and a broad audience (including non-science majors!) should find his presentation interesting. And you can receive elective spiritual life credit for attending!
