HU Herbarium Open House Tomorrow

HU’s Fred Loew Herbarium is hosting an open house from 3:00-3:50 p.m. on Friday. You may have never heard of HU’s herbarium before, but with over 12,000 plant specimens, it is the largest herbarium held by any Christian college in the Midwest. Might be one of the best kept secrets on campus — you won’t want to miss it! You can come check out plant specimens dating back to the 1880s and learn about the process by which botanists collect, press, mount, digitize, and preserve plant specimens.

The Herbarium is located in the lower level of the Science Hall, in Room 056. Southwest corner of the building near the nursing student lounge area. Look for the signs!
