For the second straight week, the HU pitching staff earned the Crossroads League’s weekly Pitcher of the Week praise. Senior Joey Butz had a spectacular outing on the bump Saturday to garner this week’s honor.

Butz tossed a one-hit complete-game shutout against Saint Xavier to lead his team to an 11-0 blowout over the Cougars at Thomas More Stadium in Florence, Ky. The Indianapolis native needed just 86 pitches to incapacitate SXU’s offense. He finished with six strikeouts while giving up three walks.

The Foresters (6-1) head to IU Southeast on Friday for a weekend series with the Grenadiers.
