Chief Keirsh’s Safety Tip

Did you know that students are actively involved in keeping HU safe? Since becoming your Chief of Police, it has been my desire to implement Community Oriented Policing Strategies on campus. One of those initiatives has been training, resourcing, and utilizing students to assist their fellow students in non-emergency situations. This semester the Huntington University Police Department launched Huntington University Public Safety. This division of our Police Department is trained to take calls and respond to the needs of students while remaining vigilant and mindful of the safety of our campus community. If you see a member of HUPS or HUPD, introduce yourself and thank them for the service they provide these 90 acres we call home!
