Coffey Break Guidelines

As of August 28, the Coffey Break will operate on a twice-weekly publication schedule. This means you will only receive the Coffey Break on Mondays and Thursdays.

Students are welcome to submit posts to the Coffey Break for potential publication. However, there are certain guidelines and expectations for all Coffey Break posts:

  1. Contributors (“you”) must be Huntington University employees or students. All submissions must have a current HU email address associated with them and must be HU related.
  2. Submissions are due by 8:45 a.m. on publication day. Any posts you submit after this time will appear in the next publication, assuming the submission meets the rest of these guidelines. 
  3. Posts can repeat once per publication up to four emails in a row (i.e., two weeks’ worth of emails). Please take this into account when planning how often you will promote your upcoming event.
  4. Job postings in the Coffey Break must receive written approval from the Office of Business and Finance and/or the Office of Career Services before they can be published.
  5. Advertisements for off-campus student housing will not be published.

Please abide by the 8:45 a.m. deadline, as we have a very narrow window of time between this deadline and when the Coffey Break needs to be edited and ready to go out. The earlier you submit a post, the better!
