What Is a Course Reserve and How Does It Work!?
If your professor has required course reading from a specific text, they may have that available for you on reserve at RichLyn Library! Course reserves may be a textbook, video, practice exam, or book that is placed behind the Library service desk for a specific class. Usually, the reserves are loaned out for a short period of time so that the entire class has a chance to use the material. You can access this list online! Make sure you know the professor’s name, the title and author of the book (it should be on your syllabus), and/or the subject you are taking (i.e., social work, chemistry, nursing, etc.). Please also be aware that reserves carry fines of 50¢ per hour or $1.00 per day depending on the type of reserve. Let us know how we can help you!
