CROSS COUNTRY

Graduate student Kent Yoder topped the field of 128 runners Friday night at the Larry Young Invitational hosted by Columbia College (Mo.) to be voted this week’s Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced earlier this afternoon.

Yoder clocked in at 24:57, eight seconds ahead of the second place finisher, to guide the #22 Foresters to a first place finish out of 14 teams at Gans Creek Cross Country Course. The course will serve as the site for the NAIA National Cross Country Championships next fall and then again in 2027 and 2030.

Next up for Yoder and crew is a trip to the Sunshine State to run in the Florida State XC Invite on September 29.
