Senior Austin Liepe had a banner day Friday at the NAIA Appalachian Challenge in Knoxville (Tenn.) to be named this week’s Crossroads League Runner of the Week.

The Rome City native took sixth out of 180 runners to pace the #RV Forester cross country team to a third place finish out of 19 teams.

Liepe navigated the 8K course at Sequoyah Park in 24:34 which proves a new personal best for the stately harrier. He and his team now turn their attention to the Crossroads League Championships slated for November 3.
