Six Foresters were honored by the Crossroads League for their outstanding play this season as announced earlier this afternoon.

For the third consecutive season, senior Morgan Robrock (Huntington, Ind./Huntington North HS) was voted Second Team All-League. The 5-11 setter orchestrated the offense for Herber and crew by dishing out 1,012 assists (9.37 assists per set which is the fifth most among her league peers). She also posted 288 digs (2.67 digs per set), 93 kills, 44.5 blocks and 24 aces. Over her four years, she racked up 3,249 assists to finish fourth in program history for assists in a career.

Joining Robrock as a Second Team pick is sophomore Haley Kruse (Auburn, Ind./Lakewood Park Christian). The 5-7 outside hitter, an Honorable Mention honoree as a rookie, led the Foresters offensively with 333 kills for a 2.95 kill per set average (the tenth best average in the league). She also collected 19.5 blocks, 302 digs and a team-leading 46 aces. Her 0.41 aces per set is second in the league.

Freshman Trevyn Terry (Stroh, Ind./Prairie Heights HS) wasted no time establishing a name for herself and for her efforts earned a spot on the All-Freshmen Team. The 6-0 middle was HU’s most efficient offensive weapon with her .270 hitting percentage. She finished with 216 kills to average 1.91 per set. She was also a force to be reckoned with on the other side of the net having piled up 48.5 blocks which averages out to 0.79 per set.

Junior Kortney Grimm (Gahanna, Ohio/Gahanna Lincoln HS) has been recognized by the league each season since sporting Forester green with this year’s praise coming by way of an Honorable Mention accolade. The 6-0 outside hitter finished second on the team in kills with 220 for a 2.08 kill per set average. Additionally, she posted 86 digs and 26 blocks.

Sophomore Layla Meyer (Monroeville, Ind./Heritage HS) was also tabbed an Honorable Mention pick. A member of the All-Freshmen and Second Team last season, the 5-3 libero continues to lead Huntington defensively. She trolled the backline for a team-best 381 digs to average just our four digs per set (4.05) which ranks her sixth in the CL. She also registered 50 assists and 30 aces on the year.

Sophomore Leah Carter’s looming presence at the net earned her an Honorable Mention shoutout. The 6-0 middle (Kokomo, Ind./Northwestern HS) finished the year with 60.5 blocks, 24 of which were of the solo variety. Offensively, she terminated 1.88 plays per set having collected 210 kills.

The Foresters wrapped up the fall with an overall record of 16-15 which proves the most wins in program history since the 2009 season.
