New Club – Foresters Coalition for Life

A new club has arrived on campus, Foresters Coalition for Life (FCL). Foresters Coalition for Life is an anti-abortion club with two main goals: 1) Educate students on human development and abortion apologetics. 2) Provide pregnant and/or parenting students with varied resources and/or support.

This club is a non-partisan club! In fact, a recent 2023 survey from GALLUP shows that:

  • Only 24% of Republicans support a full ban on abortion
  • 47% of Republicans think that abortion should be legal within the first trimester
  • 1 out of every 4 Democrats identifies as anti-abortion
  • 60% of people on the Left agree that there should be some sort of restrictions on abortion

These statistics illustrate the true reality of the anti-abortion movement. In addition, prominent groups such as Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising, Democrats for Life of America, Pro-life San Francisco, Secular Pro-life, The Rainbow Pro-life Alliance and Feminists for Life evidently show there is a demand and support for a diverse anti-abortion movement. Hence, the club is open to anyone and everyone.

Indeed, a recent peer-reviewed study from the fall of 2021 concluded that 96% of biologists surveyed across the globe (5,577 biologists) agree that a zygote is, in fact, a human being — most of these biologists identify as somewhere on the Left.

Interested in learning more about the club? We’ll have our first interest meeting early in the spring 2024 semester.
