The Crossroads League announced its 2023-24 All-League bowling honors at the league’s championships on Thursday with six Foresters recognized for their outstanding play this season.

On the men’s side, freshman Dale Horstmann earned one of the five spots on the Second Team. The Yorkville (Ill.) native was also tabbed a member of the All-Newcomer Team. In the four regular season tournaments, his 190.67 average was the sixth highest among his CL peers (2860 total pin count).

As a team, Huntington finished third in the regular season team standings.

On the women’s side, freshman Amanda-Lynn Turner had a great run in CL action to be voted to the All-Newcomer Team with her 169.88 average.

HU was well represented on the Second Team claiming three of the five spots. Brooklyn Suzuki posted the sixth highest average in the league (180.00) with a pin total of 2880.

Joining her on the Second Team was Lilly Pryor who knocked over 2869 pins for a 179.31 average. Rounding out the Second Team honorees was Katie Fraser. The senior toppled 2862 pins for an average of 178.88.

As a team, the Foresters finished third in the regular season standings.

The Crossroads League also announced its Champions of Character award winners on Thursday which included Forester picks Hannah Hamilton and Daniel Burzynski.

Rounding out the list of postseason honors included student-athletes who have excelled in the classroom for having a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25. Eight Foresters were among those named to the CL All-Academic Team. Those student-athletes were Daniel Burzynski, Conner Coogan, Matt Foutz, Katie Fraser, Emma Large, Raegan Neuenschwander, Lilly Pryor and Brooklyn Suzuki.
