WOMEN’S GOLF – Coffey Break

The Huntington women’s golf program kicked off the spring portion of their schedule with a trip to the Lone Star State for the Top of Texas Invitational hosted by Wayland Baptist at Lubbock Country Club. The Foresters posted a three-round score of 1064 to finish eighth among a field of nine teams.

The two-day event saw Danielle Tinsley post a team-best 261 (89-88-84) for 24th place out of 54 golfers. Eight strokes back in 30th place was Kira Moore with a 269 (93-87-89). Grace Dill (84-94-94–272) and Lauren Slottke (87-90-96–272) played within a stroke of each other to finish 36th and 37th respectively. Abby Sheehan carded a 281 (10-2-91-88) to claim 45th place.

Next up for Davis and crew is an IWU JV Tournament slated for March 21 at Arbor Trace Golf Course.
