MEN’S TENNIS
The #RV Forester men’s tennis team garnered four of the 15 All-Conference accolades as announced by the national office.
Senior Andres Jimenez (Bucaramanga, Colombia) repeated as an All-League honoree having been voted one of the league’s best last fall by the CL coaches in his first season as a Forester. Playing mostly at the No. 2 spot for HU this fall, he racked up 11 wins against just one loss in singles play while going 10-4 in doubles action.
The other three Foresters to be tabbed All-Conference splashed onto the scene this year as newcomers to the Crossroads League. Senior Santiago Sarudiansky (Unquillo, Argentina), HU’s No. 1 player, finished 8-2 in singles play and carried a 7-4 doubles record.
Senior Julian Tantera (Cordoba, Argentina) mostly camped out at the #3 spot in singles play where he boasted an 8-1 record while claiming a 10-4 record in doubles action. Senior Martin Capdevilla (Mendoza, Argentina) was also deemed one of the league’s best for his outstanding play this fall, finishing 8-2 at #4 singles while going 7-4 in doubles play.
For the third straight season, Huntington finished second in the CL regular season standings with a 7-1 record. HU finished the fall portion of their season with an overall record of 9-2.
