CHEER

The Huntington cheer team headed to Upland on Saturday for the Trojan Invitational on the campus of Taylor University to compete against seven other teams.

During round one, the Foresters suffered a one-point deduction from a minor stunt fall. Despite low energy after the stunt mishap, HU was still able to pull off a score of 52.1. The second round saw Esque’s club turn their focus on stunting to make sure things hit successfully. With more energy and cleaner stunts, the squad was able to hit a season high mark of 55.43 with no deductions.

“This season has gone by fast,” said Coach Shawnna Esque. “Every performance these ladies pushed to improve their scores. I believe that they will continue to improve our score as we end our season at the Crossroads League Tournament.”

The Foresters will finish out their season on Saturday, March 15th, at Mount Vernon Nazarene University for the Crossroads League Tournament.
