Volunteer Opportunity: Sewing Feminine Hygiene Products for Liberia

Two opportunities to sew this week!

This Thursday, March 27, 6:00-8:00 p.m., we will be hosting another sewing event. We are sewing feminine hygiene products to send to young women in Liberia to help enable them to stay in school.

AND…we will be a part of the campus-wide Serve Day on Saturday morning (meet on the mall at 9:45 a.m.).

Everyone is welcome to join! We would love volunteers to help sew, no experience is necessary.  We have both sewing and non-sewing work to do, and we can easily teach you how to sew if you want to learn! It is a great time to relax and socialize with others, while still assisting in a worthwhile cause.

Please contact Nancy Richison at nrichison@huntington.edu for directions and more information.

Future sewing dates for the semester are as follows:

  • Thursday, April 10, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 12, 3:00-6:00 p.m.
