MEN’S GOLF
The Huntington University men’s golf team turned in a steady showing at the Saints Classic, hosted by Holy Cross College at the Warren Golf Club, finishing fifth overall with a two-round total of 654 (+84).
After opening with a 335 in Monday’s first round, the Foresters bounced back on Tuesday with a 16-shot improvement, carding a 319 to close out the tournament.
Steven Webb led the charge for Huntington with rounds of 82 and 78 for a 160 (+18) total. Carter Hall matched Webb’s final-round 78 to finish close behind at 162 (+20). Mason Reeves turned in rounds of 81 and 86 for 167 (+25), while Trey Spring followed with 88–80 for 168 (+26). Cooper Trigg rounded out the lineup with an 86–83 performance for 169 (+27).
Saint Xavier captured the team title at +54, followed by Grand Rapids CC (+56) and Indiana-Kokomo (+67).
The Saints Classic marked the final event of the fall season for the Foresters, who will return to action this spring with sights set on continued improvement and postseason contention.
