VOLLEYBALL
The Huntington volleyball program is headed back to the national stage for the first time in more than three decades. As announced earlier today by the NAIA national office, the Foresters have earned an at-large bid to the 2025 NAIA Women’s Volleyball National Tournament, marking HU’s first appearance at nationals since the 1993 season.
Receiving votes in the latest NAIA Coaches’ Poll, Huntington (24-8) is one of 15 at-large selections across the country and one of five Crossroads League programs to secure a spot in this year’s field. The Foresters finished third in the Crossroads League regular-season standings with a 12-6 CL record.
HU will travel to face 19th-seeded Viterbo University, the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Champions, in an opening round matchup this Saturday, November 22, at 6:00 p.m. EST. The Eagles enter the national tournament with a 27-6 record and a ten-game win streak, setting the stage for a high-level clash with a trip to the final site on the line.
The winner of Saturday’s match advances to Sioux City, Iowa, where final-site action will take place at the Tyson Events Center from December 3–9 as teams continue their pursuit of the Red Banner.
