MEN’S GOLF
A strong start and steady finish capped the season for the Forester men’s golf team.
Huntington closed out its 2025-26 campaign tied for fifth place at the Crossroads League Championships held April 27-28 at Coyote Crossing Golf Club. The tournament, originally scheduled for 54 holes, was shortened to 36 due to inclement weather.
The Foresters opened with a 310 before carding a 318 in the final round to post a 628, tying Mount Vernon for fifth in the nine-team field.
Hall Headlines HU’s Effort
Carter Hall delivered one of the top performances of the tournament, scorching the course with a six-under-par 66 in round one to sit atop the leaderboard after day one.
The freshman standout went on to finish sixth overall out of 48 golfers with a two-round total of 145, earning All-Tournament Team honors.
Balanced Contributions Across the Lineup
Huntington saw solid contributions throughout the lineup:
- Steven Webb tied for 14th with a 153 (74-79)
- Josh Kling placed 34th with a 163 (85-78)
- Trey Spring tied for 37th with a 167 (85-82)
- Mason Reeves finished 42nd with a 170 (85-85)
Team Standings
Marian captured the CL title by firing a 586 followed by Taylor (588), IWU (595), Grace (608), HU (628), Mount Vernon (628), Spring Arbor (630), Bethel (635) and Saint Francis (655).
