OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD

The Forester track and field program turned in a strong week across two meets, with the majority of the team competing at the Mount Union Classic at Kehres Stadium while the men’s throws group traveled to the Hillsdale College Tune-up.

Leading the way for the women was Anna Jeannin, who claimed gold in the high jump with a winning mark of 1.62 meters.

Huntington added a pair of runner-up finishes on the track as Olivia Howell took second in the 800 meters (2:15.54) and Mackenzie Brewer earned silver in the steeplechase (11:58.39).

The Foresters also dominated the pole vault, placing four athletes in the top 10. Emma Schiffli paced the group with a second-place finish (3.36m), followed by Vivian Moore in third (3.26m), Elaina Moore in sixth (3.21m), and Maeve Wilkinson in ninth (2.96m).

Additional top 10 performances for the HU women included Addyson Dowler (4th, 100m – 12.29), Saniya Brinkley (7th, 400m – 58.70), and Trysta Hilton, who posted top-10 finishes in both the 400 hurdles (8th – 1:09.29) and high jump (8th – 1.52m). In the field events, Elle Schweitzer (5th – 37.11m) and Maya Gerber (6th – 36.97m) delivered in discus, while Ashley Gunkelman added a sixth-place finish in javelin (33.94m).

On the men’s side, Caleb Farr (pole vault – 4.63m), Kharrington Terry (high jump – 1.95m), and Noah Wellington (400m – 49.08) each recorded fourth-place finishes to lead the way. Huntington also saw strong middle-distance efforts from Jayden Williams (5th, 800m – 1:52.98) and Ben Roberts (8th, 800m – 1:55.01).

The Foresters now set their sights on the Crossroads League Championships, set for April 30 – May 1 on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan.
