MEN’S TENNIS

The HU men’s tennis team kicked off Crossroads League play Saturday at Ramser Tennis Courts with two solid wins against Mount Vernon and Goshen respectively.

The Foresters disposed of the Cougars swiftly by way of a 7-0 sweep. HU is a perfect 5-0 against MVNU with all matches a shutout.

HU wrapped up the day with a 4-3 win over Goshen. After taking the point in doubles, which proved a critical point, the Foresters split singles action with the Maples Leafs to seal the win. Poncio and crew is currently riding a three-game win streak over Goshen.

Huntington (2-0, 2-0) heads to Bethel on Wednesday to take on the Pilots and Marian.
