MEN’S TENNIS

Playing at Klopfenstein Courts for the first time this season, the HU men’s tennis team came up short, 5-2, in a hard fought battle against #RV Grace before breezing past Spring Arbor 7-0 to wrap up the day.

The morning matchup with the Lancers was a clash between two of the top teams in the league. After giving up the point in doubles, the Foresters evened things up at 2-2 before GC secured the W by winning the final three singles matches.

Against SAU a few hours later, HU notched quick wins at #2 and #3 doubles to earn the match’s first point and turn to singles action where they continued their winning ways across the board. It proved their fourth shutout of the season.

With the split, Poncio’s crew moves to 5-1 on the year and in league play.
